Guidelines

All entries must have been:

  • designed by firms or individuals whose primary business is located in the state of Alaska, including corporate in-house designers and design teams. Entries may be for clients in any market.
  • originally published, printed, or circulated between August 1, 2019 and July 31, 2020.

This competition is limited to commercially produced printed and interactive media and considers the design of complete units only. Individual units such as photographs or illustrations are not accepted.

With the exceptions of public service, self promotion or student pieces, work entered must have been the result of paid creative services in the normal course of business.

  • Public service work donated to recognized organizations and social causes will be accepted. AIGA-related works will not be accepted due to conflict of interest.
  • Corporate or freelance self-promotional pieces are considered commercial work and eligible for entry if they were published, printed, or circulated between August 1, 2019 and July 31, 2020.
  • Entrants submitting student work must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. educational institution no more than one calendar year prior to August 1, 2020. Work must be created while the entrant is not employed in the design or advertising industries. Student work does not have to be mass-produced to qualify for this competition.
